About Us

The address says it all. 327 Bowery sits on one of the most storied blocks in American music history, and Bowery Palace keeps that tradition alive with sweat, sound, and a room small enough that you can feel the bass in your chest. Since the doors open at 5 PM every day of the week, the night starts early and runs late, with Fridays and Saturdays pushing all the way to 4 AM.

Downstairs, the acoustics are the real story. Regulars call it Jesse's Place, a nod to the care that went into the room's sound, and whether the act is a buzzy indie band or a DJ pushing deep cuts, the mix holds. The crowd is close, the sightlines are clean, and Guinness on tap anchors a bar that keeps pricing honest without cutting corners on the pour.

This is not a venue built for distance. The intimacy is the point. You are not watching a show through a sea of phone screens or a VIP rope. You are in the room, part of it, a few feet from the stage. That proximity is what 4.3 stars across more than 1,100 reviews keeps pointing back to.

What We Offer

Bowery Palace runs as a live music venue, bar, and event space rolled into one compact, high-energy room. Most nights the downstairs stage hosts ticketed shows spanning indie rock, electronic, hip-hop, and experimental acts. The bar pours Guinness on draft alongside a rotating selection of wines, spirits, and moderately priced bottled and canned beers, keeping the focus on the music rather than a complicated cocktail menu.

Beyond the nightly programming, the venue books private events, album release parties, and creative industry gatherings. The intimate capacity makes it a natural fit for brands, labels, and promoters who want a real New York room rather than a rented banquet hall. Note that the venue does not currently offer food service, so plan accordingly before you arrive.

"Went to a show here last night. Definitely recommend if you're into undergoundy- intimate spaces. No food, but the beers were moderately priced and the staff was great. Good space, good music, good vibes."

"Jesse’s Place, enough said. Downstairs acoustics are just fabulous, no matter the show it’s great sound. Guinness on tap to go with decent wines and all the other drinks, all you need for a great musical (or off-broadway) experience"

"Everytime I go to this place to shoot photos of a client or video of a performance, the experience is worse each time. The venue is tiny and the people running it are terrible. They provide no space for anyone to do their job, including photographers and videographers. Their dumb policy to charge us $250 just to bring a tripod in, or force the performers to pay for video footage is 100% based on greed. They provide no grace to the performers to acquire their own footage. The performers already don't get paid much, if at all. On top of that, they put them through financial torture and make their media crew suffer. It has not been a good experience any of the times I did a photography or videography gig here, and the management is the entire problem!"
